Confused? These were print manifests for messenger-style alley cat races, i.e. scavenger hunts with many checkpoints. The design of the manifest was intentionally confusing to add to the overall challenge of the event. I was always surprised no one complained; in fact, the harder it was to read the more people seemed to enjoy it!
